Michelle is an alum of the university and her daughters currently attend. Our company president & owner, Tricia Hudson, is also an alum of GMU. It’s a small world after all!

Tricia joins the Norfolk SPCA Board of Directors

In July 2019, Tricia joined the Norfolk SPCA Board of Directors. She is so excited to support them in their mission of reducing sheltered animals in the community and providing the highest quality of care and adoptions when sheltering is necessary.

Every June, the city of Norfolk hosts one of the east coast’s favorite festivals, the Annual Norfolk Harborfest®. This free festival is the largest, longest-running, free maritime festival in the nation, and brings $20 million into the local economy! Amanda Bradley’s Harborfest poster design was selected for the 43rd annual festival in 2019. Amanda is a Norfolk native, graphic artist, photographer, and curator who collaborates with Trica and her team, and serves as Strategic Solutions’ senior graphic designer.

Tricia selected as a 2019 Girl Scout Famous Former

Each Girl Scout membership year, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast recognizes local Girl Scout alums who are leaders in their field. These women serve as role models for girls today – the future leaders of tomorrow. Tricia was notified in June that she was selected as a 2019 Girl Scout Famous Former. She, along with the other award recipients, will receive their awards at a luncheon in November.

Tricia Receives Brooke Briggs Community Impact Award

In May 2019 during the Women Against Violence luncheon that honored local survivors of abuse, Tricia Hudson and Tarra Secrest received the first Brooke Briggs Community Impact Award for their work in supporting the Samaritan House Mission. Brook Briggs was the non-profit’s former Major Gifts Officer. Brooke passed away unexpectedly due to heart complications, seven years after a heart transplant. She made a positive impact on everyone she met, and was a natural at bringing people together and connecting them to causes here in Hampton Roads.

Tricia Joins Samaritan House Foundation Board

In April 2019, Tricia joined the Samaritan House Foundation Board. Samaritan House provides emergency and permanent housing, support services and community outreach to victims of domestic violence and homeless families.
