Tricia serves as the president and owner of Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC. She has served the nonprofit, corporate, and higher education communities as a fundraising executive since 1996 and as a consultant since 2014. During her career, she has raised over $50 million dollars in private support of various organizations and served on several boards in the Hampton Roads community.

As a consultant, Tricia develops strategic plans, timelines, planning documents and processes for her clients so that they can achieve greater financial results. She excels in working with boards, corporate executives, grant funders, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals. Tricia is a strategic thinker with the ability to problem-solve, she absorbs the big picture while tending to the smallest of details.

Tricia’s fundraising and business development expertise lies within the areas of strategy development, planning, solicitations, corporate development, high-level volunteer management, prospect development and building high-performing teams.

During Tricia’s various roles in higher education, she has worked collaboratively with university presidents, cabinet level leadership, college deans, and other internal partners in order to advance the mission of the university and provide financial support for the university’s students, programs and faculty. Tricia also has deep experience in research and developing strategically aggressive next steps.

As an executive in higher education, she has worked at the highest levels of the organization to develop strategy, implement policy, develop budgets, establish large-scale priorities, and manage multidisciplinary projects.

Tricia is the past president of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has served as the National Philanthropy Day Event chairman. She is a 2009 graduate of LEAD Hampton Roads, a board member of the Girl Scouts Council of the Colonial Coast, a founding member of the Old Dominion University Women’s Initiative Network and a member of the George Mason University Alumni Association. During Tricia’s fundraising career she has been affiliated with Old Dominion University, Tidewater Community College, Virginia Wesleyan College, the American Heart Association and the American Red Cross.

Tricia received her B.A. in government & politics from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Rebecca Barrett:

Administrative Coordinator


Rebecca serves as administrative coordinator for Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC. She provides daily support to the Strategic Solutions team as well as a liaison to the many clients Strategic Solutions works with. She also provides expertise in grant writing and event planning. Previously, Rebecca interned at the Eurasia Center and Her Padded Truth which gave her experience in grant research and writing, cross cultural communication, and analytical thinking. She earned her BA in anthropology, international studies, and French from SUNY Potsdam in 2018.

Phyllis Fedele:

Operations Coordinator


Phyllis is a seasoned Office Manager and Development Specialist. Early in her career, she served her country in the United States Navy. Since then, she has held administrative management positions at the American Heart Association and Virginia Wesleyan College. Phyllis earned her Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies from Liberty University. She is married to a US Navy retired veteran, has two adult daughters and two grandchildren.  Her family also includes Annie, the family dog.

Michelle McAfee:

Communications & Grant Coordinator


Michelle serves as the part-time Communications & Grant Coordinator for Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC. She has spent most of her nearly 20 year career in the Virginia Beach City Public School System and Higher Education, to include Old Dominion University and George Mason University. Her past experience includes serving as a Coordinator, Teacher, Media Relations Specialist, Editor, and Writer. Her background includes not only teaching, but grant, promotional, and technical writing as well as marketing, public relations, and much more. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from George Mason University, as well as an English 6-12 Teaching Certification and Military Child and Family Studies Certification from Old Dominion University.

Bennett White:

Development Coordinator


With strong writing, editing, and research skills, Bennett works as a Development Coordinator who specializes in writing grant proposals, facilitating donor outreach campaigns, and has worked within museums, community art centers, and nonprofits to create accessible and innovative programming for broad and diverse audiences. While working in the Institutional Gifts department at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Bennett helped author grant applications, progress reports, and donor outreach letters designed to acquire funding for various education initiatives and the critically-renowned 2018 exhibition Napoleon: Power and Splendor. Additionally, through his position as a Curatorial Research Assistant at the Chrysler Museum of Art, Bennett worked closely with Curatorial staff to research and display previously untold narratives about the forgotten artworks in the collection, which included writing and editing educational didactics about important artworks. Bennett received his Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Randolph-Macon College.

Elizabeth Kamosa:

Digital Marketing Coordinator


Elizabeth is the Digital Marketing Coordinator for Strategic Solutions by Tricia. She is responsible for writing, editing and distributing content for press releases, brochures, and grants. She also provides graphic, website, and social media content for the company and clients. Elizabeth assists with event planning and coordination, as well as developing marketing plans and promotions. Prior to SST, she worked as a Support Specialist for the Naval Postgraduate School providing technical and administrative support to students and staff. Elizabeth also has a background in marketing for home remodeling, fitness, cultural, and contracting companies. She holds a B.S. in Business Communication with a minor in English from Stevenson University and a M.A. in Communication from Southern New Hampshire University. She enjoys hiking, painting, swimming, and reading in her free time. lege.

Kris Griffith:

Business Consultant

Kris Griffith

Kris is a results-generating client service professional specializing in the technology marketing space for start-ups and large corporations with proven results in relationship development, technical consultation, product support, and contract negotiation. Currently living in Northern Virginia, he has been recognized for implementing tactical customer success strategies, building and leading high-performance teams, and leading effective presentations to clients and executives.

Kris has helped institutions increase enrollment, retain students, improve marketing efforts, and implement large technical projects effectively for colleges and universities for nearly a decade. As a Business Development Consultant to Thomas Nelson Community College Foundation, Inc., he was responsible for increasing Foundation funds by over $300,000. He also spearheaded the deployment of online presence, including websites and social media, and identified and pursued valuable business opportunities to generate new company revenue and improve bottom-line profitability. As Director of Enrollment for Blackboard, Inc., he helped institutions identify a comprehensive, strategic, and personalized solution to improve student recruitment, engagement, enrollment, satisfaction, and retention. He also provided functional support to the Education Services sales, operations, and product development teams related to the full spectrum of enrollment services. At Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC, Kris’ focus is on business development for a nonprofit, Community College Foundation where he can use his skills to improve community and donor relationships to benefit the next generation of workers.

Amanda Bradley:

Bradley Depictions


Amanda is an independent contractor who collaborates with Trica and her team and serves as Strategic Solutions' graphic designer. She is a Norfolk native, and her background consists of management, art, freelancing, communications, and working with nonprofits.  

Amanda is a photographer and graphic artist. She earned her BFA in photography and print media in 2013 at Old Dominion University. Her photography focuses mostly on photo manipulation work, and has appeared in the PFAC Genesis show, Compelling Images, the Amalgamation art exhibit, and several student art shows at ODU.  After obtaining her BFA, Amanda started her own freelance graphic design and photography business, Bradley Depictions. Her design work has appeared in many local advertisements, non-profits, events, business logos, and commercials.  Amanda's true passion lies in poster design and typography,  and her poster was chosen for Norfolk's 43rd Annual Harborfest Poster in 2019. 

Since July 2017,  Amanda has been working in Norfolk's NEON District at the d'Art Center as its communications, marketing, and gallery manager. She produces all of the graphic art and marketing material for the center, manages its social media presence, curates exhibitions, and manages the gallery.

Emily Houston:

Annual Fund & Corporate Grants Manager

Prior to Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC, Emily worked at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga as an intern. While at the Hunter, Emily did administrative, development, and marketing work. Interacting with the Hunter’s donors made her realize her passion for development and fundraising. In her free time, she loves to explore the city she’s in- whether that be eating at new restaurants or going to live music events or cultural festivals.

Emily attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga majoring in political science with a concentration in public administration and nonprofit management. She finished her degree in three years and graduated with cum laude honors. While in college, she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, Pi Sigma Alpha honor society, and the Student Government Association.
