Part-time Grant Writer

Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC is seeking a Part-time Grant Writer. Strategic Solutions is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in business development, fundraising and marketing for clients in the non-profit, higher education and corporate communities. This position will support client projects and company initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The Grant Writer is responsible for writing and coordinating the grant application process and management of proposals for clients.
  • Writing high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and providing supporting documents.
  • Responsible for researching, collecting data, and writing of each grant.
  • Works with project partners to compile financials and data for submission.
  • Manages the proposal submission process of all grants to ensure timely submission of all required materials.
  • Develops and maintains a proposal calendar.
  • Coordinates and follow-ups on the progress of submitted proposals.
  • Experience in using grant databases focused on federal, state and municipality grant funding sources.
  • Develops close working partnerships with client’s key administrators, project leaders and key stake holders.
  • Keeps abreast of the trends in federal grants, corporate philanthropy, higher education and the local non-profit community.
  • Ability to work with the public, clients and executives.
  • Maintains hard copies and electronic filing system.
  • Special Projects as needed based on scope of client work.
  • Flexibility in work schedule as each week demands.
  • Additional related duties as assigned.

Candidate’s Must Have:

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years’ experience in grant writing and management.
  • Candidate should be proficient in developing relationships and understanding funding needs.
  • Candidate must have considerable experience in how to develop comprehensive federal, state, municipality, foundation and corporate proposals, grants and applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of one or more professional writing styles, such as Associated Press or Chicago.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently.
  • Ability to work in a complex, research-university setting and to communicate complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to write both technical and journalistic material in an interesting and understandable way.
  • Must have excellent writing, grammar and punctuation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills is required.
  • Must meet deadlines and be able to manage projects.
  • Must always be a dependable team player with positive attitude and professionalism.

Office Related & Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Software Suite
  • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment: calculator, fax, and copier
  • Clearance through criminal background investigation and drug screening
  • Driver’s license, personal vehicle and acceptable DMV record required

Part-Time Marketing Coordinator

Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Marketing Coordinator. The company is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in business development, fundraising and marketing for clients in the non-profit, higher education and corporate communities. This position will provide marketing support for the consulting firm and its clients.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Managing the company’s social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).
  • Develop content and timelines for social media.
  • Create content and pertinent information for LinkedIn.
  • Develop a library of photos.
  • Create blog post information.
  • Manage the company’s website and its content.
  • Write, edit and distribute content for press releases, brochures, grants, etc.
  • Provide graphic design support to the company and clients.
  • Develop sales and marketing collateral material such as one-pagers and brochures, etc.
  • Manage event planning and logistics, including customer events, trade shows, etc.
  • Develop and implement event marketing plans and promotions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Strategic Solutions by Tricia, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Marketing Intern for Spring 2020 and Summer 2020. The company is a boutique consulting firm that specializes in business development, fundraising and marketing for clients in the non-profit, higher education and corporate communities. This position will provide marketing support for the consulting firm and its clients.

Internship Responsibilities:

  • Writing, editing and distributing content for press releases, brochures, grants, etc.
  • Provides graphic design support to the team.
  • Develops sales and marketing collateral material such as one-pagers and brochures, etc.
  • Assists with event planning and coordination, including customer events, trade shows, etc.
  • Assists in developing and implementing event marketing plans and promotions.
  • Maintains and updates event files, event calendars and other spreadsheets.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Candidate’s Must Have:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G Suite
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suites
  • Excellent grammar and punctuation skills
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills
  • Meets deadlines and is able to manage projects
  • Must always be a dependable team player with positive attitude and professionalism

Requirements:

  • Current second semester junior or senior.
  • Must have a car and valid driver’s license to complete errands and handle company business.
  • Ability to work flexible hours with some evenings.
